End of Summer Mini Retreat at Heroic Gardens

US$25.00

Friday, August 28 | 5:00–7:00 p.m.
The Sunflower Farm at Pennypack, 4403 Megargee Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136
$25 per person

Before summer slips away, join the elevateHER community for a restorative evening of gentle yoga, forest bathing and connection among the sunflowers at Heroic Gardens.

We’ll begin with yoga led by elevateHER member Dana Phelan, who regularly offers yoga at the farm. Please bring a yoga mat or towel if you have one.

Following yoga, we’ll slow down and experience forest bathing—a guided practice that invites us to put away our distractions and connect more intentionally with the natural world. Despite its name, there is no water involved! Forest bathing is not a hike or a workout. It is an opportunity to move slowly, engage the senses and notice the sights, sounds, textures and rhythms around us.

This special evening will also introduce our community to the beautiful work of Collie Turner, an Elkins Park resident, new elevateHER member and founder of Heroic Gardens. Through therapeutic horticulture, Collie and her team create opportunities for veterans and their families to experience healing, belonging and purpose through plants and meaningful work.

A portion of every registration will support the mission of Heroic Gardens.

Come breathe, stretch, reconnect and enjoy a little end-of-summer magic with us.

Please bring:

  • A yoga mat or towel, if you have one

  • Comfortable clothing

  • Water

  • Shoes suitable for spending time outdoors

No previous yoga or forest bathing experience is necessary.
