What You Need to Know for a Branding Photo Shoot

US$25.00

Your brand is more than a logo, a color palette or a polished headshot. It’s the message, personality and feeling people associate with you and your business and your photographs should communicate all three.

Join our elevateHER community for an interactive branding workshop and social hour with portrait and personal branding photographer Carly Piersol.

Carly works with small business owners to create images that reflect both their brands and their authentic selves. During this workshop, she’ll take us behind the scenes of the planning that happens before a successful branding shoot and help you begin defining what your own brand should look and feel like.

What to expect

We’ll begin with a guided branding questionnaire to help you explore:

• What your business or product does
• Your ideal client and the problems you solve for them
• The main message you want your clients to understand
• Five words that capture your brand’s personality

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers. The goal is to give you the time and space to start thinking about your brand and ask Carly the questions that may be holding you back.

Carly will then walk us through the process she uses with her clients, including branding questionnaires, image research, mood boards and shot lists. Through two very different client case studies, she’ll show us how a business’s brand words can influence everything from location and clothing to colors, props, poses and the final photographs.

You’ll leave with:

• Greater clarity about what your brand should communicate visually
• A better understanding of how to prepare for a branding photo shoot
• Ideas for researching and creating your own mood board
• A practical starting point for working with a photographer
• New connections with other local women business owners

After the workshop, we’ll shift into a relaxed elevateHER social hour with refreshments, conversation and plenty of time to connect.

This event is open to all women business owners, whether you’re running an established company, building something new or still figuring out what comes next.

Please note: This is a workshop about planning and preparing for brand photography. Individual photographs and headshots will not be taken during the event.
